Speaker Biographies:
Anirudh Pandya is the Chief Technology Officer of Olive Technology Limited and is simultaneously enabling the growth of Olive Networks as its CEO. Prior to joining Olive, he was with US West Communications and AT&T Wireless as a Technical Consultant. His expertise is in the areas of Web-based applications and database management. He earned a bachelor's degree with dual major in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Sciences from the University of Rochester, NY, USA.
Rob Longhurst has worked in the IT industry since 1983, working in senior management positions in software and systems firms for over a decade. He set up his own consultancy business in 1997, project managing for companies like BP Oil and one of the UK’s largest banks. His exposure to missions started in around 1995, and since then, he founded a secure email provider for missions, and was IT Director for Mission Aviation Fellowship for 3 years. He was involved in the tsunami response in Indonesia, setting up two “internet cafés” with the UN for supporting relief workers. He co-founded DRASTIC in 2005 and has been providing broadband VSAT connections for Missions and NGO’s into the developing world. He holds an MSc in IT and Management from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. This topic was the subject of his recent Masters dissertation.
