The next ICCM-Asia is planned for

October 27 - 30, 2008

at

Crystal Spring House in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Our Keynote Speaker is John Edmiston who has been involved in online training of workers, setting up of internet cafes and IE is Asia.

The conference is specifically for those involved in the management and support of computers and technology in cross-cultural activities in the Asian region. As well as providing a unique opportunity to fellowship with peers working in similar situations, there will be a number of sessions addressing topics specific to our common work.

The conference will start on the Monday evening and conclude with lunch on the Thursday.

Introducing John Edmiston - Our Keynote speaker for 2008

John is an Australian who has worked in PNG and the Philippines, and now based in the USA.

He has the following roles at this time

Adjunct Professor – Fuller Th. Seminary (lectures in IE and CyberM)

He has pioneered E on the Internet (1991-2007), also pioneered online th training for p. in the developing world (2000-present) and has developed business plans and methodology for a large network of Internet cafes he has set up in developing nations (2002 – present).

John is married to Minda who is a research botanist, they live in Carson, California and enjoy the outdoors especially camping, fishing, hiking and sailing. Minda and I enjoy travelling and meeting new people.

ICCM Asia 2007 is over, Planning for 2008 has begun.

The ICCM Asia 2007 conference has now concluded. We had a successful conference, with 22 attendees for the full conference, and 8 or so others popping in for some talks.

Presentations for the talks will be appearing on the site as they become available, some are already there. Visit the schedule and you will find he presentations as an attachment on the page for the session itself. You need to login with the account and password supplied at the conference or register at this site (which is moderated).

A group of 5 people or so will help be involved in the planning of the next conference, which will be held in Chiang Mai in 12 to 18 months.

Just a week until conference.  We are looking forward to a great time of sharing, and meeting each other. We have folk coming from the Phillipines, Mongolia, Thailand, Singapore, India and Sri Lanka, plus Australia and the UK.
